Moody's Warns of 'Likely' Hartford Default, Decades of Deficits Ahead

Moody’s Investor Service issued a dire alarm to lenders Thursday: Hartford is probable to default on its debt past times Nov and, if it doesn’t modify course, volition function upward annual deficits exceeding $60 i M m through the side past times side twenty years.

On Sept. 26, Moody’s downgraded the city’s bond rating, reflecting the investor service’s belief that “in the probable number of a default,” bondholders may recover equally footling equally 65 pct of their investment.
